Investments of public transport are carried out not only on the basis of Building Law but also, in significant part, on the basis of so-called ‘special acts’.

In case of railway investments, it is the railway transport act, which regulates the rules of obtaining decision on the location of a railway line and expropriation and limitation of the areas necessary for investment realization.

In case of road investments, this is the act on special rules for the preparation and realization of public road investments which, like the act on rail transport, regulates the location of an investment as well as rules for land expropriation and additionally sets out the rules for obtaining a building permit.

Both special acts also refer to other provisions, such as water law, the act on nature protection, the act on access to information about the environment and its protection, public participation in environmental protection and environmental impact assessments and many others, making procedures for obtaining permits necessary for transport investments significantly different than standard construction projects.

Correct execution of the above-mentioned procedures requires not only thorough knowledge of the law, but also practical erudition in proper application of these provisions.

Such knowledge is guaranteed only by many years of experience in the implementation of the most complex and complicated transport investments, such as construction of the Łódź Fabryczna underground station, construction of a railway tunnel under the centre of Łódź, modernization of the Rail Baltica railway running through Natura 2000 areas or construction of a tram line connecting the centre of Wroclaw town with the Pilczyce housing estate.

The service includes legal analysis of the planned investment resulting in the list of necessary procedures and permits. The Client will receive support in the form of consultancy as well as monitoring of the course of proceedings and supervision over design unit, executing project documentation for the Client and obtaining the necessary permits.
